If required, I often use the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) as a guide for organizing science learning experiences. I am also familiar with Florida State Standards and their progression of scientific concepts and skills.

It is clear to me that they were created by teachers, education specialists, engineers, and, very importantly, by college professors.

College professors consider NGSS as  reasonable and robust.
