Traveling Science Programs

Hands-on science brought to your group or location

St. Pete Science for Homeschoolers may offer traveling science programs for homeschool groups, co-ops, libraries, community organizations, and parent-organized groups in the Pinellas County area.

These programs are designed to bring hands-on, real-world science experiences to students in a familiar setting.

What Students May Do

Depending on the age group, location, and topic, students may:

  • Observe, question, compare, and investigate

  • Use hand lenses, microscopes, notebooks, models, or simple science tools

  • Explore biology, ecology, earth science, physics, chemistry, or the scientific process

  • Study Florida wildlife, plants, weather, soil, water, food webs, adaptations, forces, motion, or energy

  • Build, draw, classify, measure, discuss, and explain what they discover

  • Connect science ideas to real organisms, real environments, and real-world situations

Flexible Program Options

Traveling programs can be adapted to the group’s age range, interests, location, available space, and goals.

A younger group may focus more on observation, drawing, discovery, and hands-on exploration.

An older group may explore deeper questions, evidence, systems, cause and effect, and scientific explanations.

Programs may be offered as a single special session, a short series, or a recurring science enrichment option, depending on availability and group needs.
